The City of Newcastle will position itself for another crack at hosting the women’s Rugby World Cup, following the announcement the Wallaroos will play Japan in the Hunter in July.
“This is the next best for the City of Newcastle. But it’s also wonderful for Novocastrians to have international sporting matches in their own backyard, Number 2 Sportsground in the heart of Newcastle.”
The Wallaroos will be in camp in Newcastle for a week, before playing on July 13.
