High school students in Port Macquarie have put their sales and marketing skills to the test by staging a retail expo.
The Newman Senior Technical College students spent almost three months developing their products and preparing their stalls for the expo.
Industry representatives assessed the students’ work, ensuring their display stands, customer service, product knowledge and sales techniques would stand up in the retail environment.
The hands-on experience is part of the students’ HSC studies and which are combined with a nationally accredited qualification in retail services.
