EMERGENCY SERVICES SUPPORT WHITE RIBBON DAY
In a show of solidarity, Coffs Harbour police, paramedics and fire fighters today united with women who suffer from domestic violence.
They gathered in the city centre to pledge their support for White Ribbon Day later this month.
Organisers say women should not suffer in silence.
“it’s important that they realise that there’s a range of support services out there like the Women’s Refuge, the Resource Centre to help women get out of that situation safely,” said Charlotte Young from the Coffs Harbour Women’s Refuge.
Students from Toormina High School also supported today’s event.
