Port Stephens residents affected by jet aircraft noise forecasts say they’ll fight a building ban which has left their land worthless.
They say they havn’t ruled out mounting a class legal action against the council in a bid for compensation.

I was sent the NBN news report about the aircraft noice in the Port Stephens area. I am one of the people who has been trying to sell our block of land in the Raymond Tce for the last 3 years we have had at least 4 purchases fall through as the council have told the future puchasers that they won’t be allowed to build on the land. There was a block of land around the corner from our block that was sold not very long ago & the people built on it this may not seem funny but the council owned the block of land & the people who built had no problem building & getting their plans approved it ok for them.
