GROUP TWO LEAGUE SEMI FINALS SET THE STAGE

The Grafton Ghosts will host the Group 2 grand final, after defeating the Coffs Comets 20-nil this afternoon.

Woolgoolga bowed out of the contest yesterday after being outclassed by Sawtell 36 to 28.

The two teams were locked at 22-all at the break in the minor semi, but the Panthers pulled away in the second half.

Woopi couldn’t get back in the game after this try by Sawtell’s Al McGrath. (pron: MCGRA)

“Really outstanding – we were under a bit of adversity – our side changed before the kick-off, we got the win and we’ve got to be happy,” said Sawtell Coach Brandon Costin.

Sawtell now plays Coffs for the second spot in the decider.
