Today was a very special one at South Grafton’s Helicopter Op Shop – volunteer celebrating 10 years of supporting the Westpac Rescue Helicopter service.
The shop has sold more than $1-million of secondhand items, since opening in 2009.
The proceeds go towards keeping the aeromedical service flying.
“The whole community joins in you see lots of people come in to just have a look for their bits and pieces for their kids clothes or their family clothes, they come here first and then go somewhere else.”
The volunteer staff, which number more than 30, run the shop five days a week.
