FAILING HEALTH SYSTEM

The Rural Doctors Association has warned Premier Rees not to fix the state’s ailing health system with bandaid solutions.

Tamworth-based President, Doctor Ian Kamerman, says a substantial injection of funds is needed to solve the crisis in New South Wales.

He’s criticised both state and federal governments over claims they spend more in rural areas, saying statistics show country patients have a poorer health status than their city cousins.
