SURF REPORT: FRIDAY JUNE 17, 2016

Hi there, thanks for logging on to our Friday surf report. It’s Lobby here, sitting in for Gav and there’s been some nice surf around this week.

Straight into the pictures now from today and a solid three to four feet of swell was rolling at Newcastle today. There was some real bombs on the sets.

The light offshore breeze was holding it up beautifully with some lovely clean lines on offer.

We’re going to see some similar waves again tomorrow but a little smaller for the Hunter and Central Coast for the start of the weekend, before the weather starts turning feral with heavy rain and thunderstorms and a possible east low forming on Sunday.

Up to the North Coast and there was some nice clean waves around today in the 2 to 3 foot range. The early offshore conditions gave way to a nor easter later in the day.
But some fun little waves will be on offer again tomorrow for the North Coast and the Gold Coast. Wind should be a light nor westa for Saturday morning before rain and wind picks up on Sunday.

So get out and enjoy some waves tomorrow, then slip the uggies on and watch surf movies all day on Sunday in the bad weather.

In the meantime, you can tune in to NBN TV every night for the latest in weather and surf updates.
