For the fourth straight year, Surf Lifesaving Far North Coast has taken out the Country Cup, at the New South Wales interbranch championships.
The title is awarded annually, to the highest scoring branch outside of Sydney.
Far North Coast finished fifth overall at the event, held over the weekend on the Central Coast.
Cudgen’s Luke Chaffer delivered the region’s standout performance, winning the open male surf race.
Several other local teens also finished on the podium in their events.
