Patients requiring dialysis treatment at Inverell Hospital will no longer have to travel for care.
The hospital’s renal unit has increased its operation from three days to six days a week.
A rise in hours was seen as necessary, with patients having to travel to Armidale and Tamworth for the other four days of the week.
It’s hoped the change will increase the comfort level for those requiring care.
