A man was killed this morning when he was struck by a van near Narrabri.
The incident happened 15 kilometres south of the town on the Kamilaroi Highway, just before 5.30 this morning.
Barwon police, the crash investigations unit and ambulance crews attended the site, but the pedestrian died at the scene.
Police are speaking with the driver of the van.
The highway was closed for six hours.
