NORTHERN RIVERS ESCAPES THE FLOODS

Meanwhile the Northern Rivers managed to avoid the brunt of the storm with only minor flash flooding in the usual flood prone areas.
The bureau had predicted up to 150 millimetres of rain in some areas, but the highest recorded was 69 mills at Evans Head.
The SES remained on high alert, with several units on standby.
“they responded to about jobs, request for assistance the past few days mainly for water damage, leaky rooves, water redirection, stuff like that ”
The severe weather warning for the Northern Rivers has now been cancelled and the region is no longer on flood watch.
