Despite missing a host of its stars to rep duties, Merewether remains undefeated in the Newcastle District cricket, thanks to a comfortable win over Toronto.
Matt Willett took 6 for 51 for Cardiff-Boolaroo as they edged out Wests.
In other games, City beat the Students, Stockton-Raymond Terrace upset Hamwicks.
At Stockton, Shane Hughes and Ben Balcolm made a solid start, as Hamwicks chased 353 for victory.
That was until Daniel Upward collected Balcolm’s middle stump.
Hughes didn’t last much longer, he chipped one to cover off the bowling of Terry Crittenden.
