Merewether surfer Jake Sylvester’s preparation for the junior world surfing titles, has come to a standstill after he fractured his ankle while free surfing last week.
Sylvester is confident he remains on track for the worlds, which is only seven weeks away.
Sylvester will know the full extent of his injury after visiting a specialist in Sydney on Monday.
