An encouraging announcement for those doing it tough in the harness racing industry.
With the ongoing drought pushing the price of feed up, Harness Racing New South Wales has developed an assistance scheme for licenced trainers.
The initiative will see trainers receive $17.50 per starter each week, starting today.
The assistance will continue through to January 31.
