CHARITY RIVER WALK FOR BRAIN INJURY AWARENESS

Around 100 people hit the pavement in Ballina this morning to raise money and awareness for those who have suffered brain injuries.

The second annual ‘Riverwalk’ was led by four local children, along with an army of their carers and supporters.

“One child is born every 15 hours with a brain injury during birth and that results in Cerebral Palsy, and that’s just one statistic.”

The five kilometre stroll helped raise more than $100,000 for The Developing Foundation
