FAMILY SPEAKS AFTER TRAGIC LOSS OF PROUD DAD

The family of John Bartlett, who tragically died in a motorbike accident just hours after watching his son star in the Special Olympics, has spoken of their loss.
Mr Bartlett suffered fatal injuries when his bike and a vehicle collided on Molly Morgan Drive in East Maitland on Saturday.
The 65-year-old had spent the afternoon watching son Aaron play soccer in the Special Olympics.
A moment Aaron will now treasure.
“My memories of dad are his laugh and when I scored the goal for him,” says Aaron.
Mr Bartlett’s wife Lesley says the proud dad was overjoyed to see Aaron shine.
“He was so pleased when Aaron scored the goal which was something that might not have happened. The coach moved him into a position where he had the opportunity to do it,” she says.
