A 29-year-old man has faced court in Maitland this morning, charged over the death of a mother near Wollongong.
The body of 39-year-old Kristie Powell was found at her Bellambi home on Friday, her five-month-old son found unharmed in the house.
The man was arrested yesterday near Maitland railway station.
He was refused bail and is due back in court next week.
