COOLANGATTA GOLD RAISING MONEY FOR REDHEAD’S JESSICA COLLINS

State of Origin fever will take over the iconic Coolangatta Gold ironman race this weekend.

The sport’s stars from New South Wales and Queensland are going head-to-head raising money for Redhead ironwoman Jessica Collins, who was paralysed in a surfing accident.

“I think it just hit home for all of us, especially living on the Gold Coast because she had her accident at Snapper Rocks surfing, and now she’s a paraplegic and she was such a good competitor. To be able to help out in that sort of way and see how positive she is, it’s the least we can do.”

Their goal was to raise $30,000, and at the last check, they were just $400 away from that.
