Merewether’s Ryan Callinan, has made a solid start at the 10,000 point Qualifying Series event in Portugal.
Beginning in round two, Callinan posted a four and a seven point two, to finish second behind Brazil’s Bino Lopez and advance to round three.
Fellow Merewether surfer Jackson Baker is expected to surf his first heat later tonight.
