Central Coast lifeguard Terrene Black has taken out the Women’s Overall Sprint at the A-P-P World Tour SUP event in Long Beach, New York.
Competitors struggled in the stormy conditions, but Black’s surf skills were clearly evident in the final – and while she thoroughly deserved the win – luck went her way in the sprint to the finish line.
The surfing event is due to be held today in the Big Apple.
