A huge result for rising Newcastle tri-athlete Lorcan Redmond finishing fifth at the Junior World Championships on the Gold Coast.
It was a brave performance – Redmond went all-in on the bike, left just seconds away from a medal.
Fellow Novocastrian Aaron Royle finished 22nd in the Elite Men’s race.
