In week one of Newcastle Rugby League finals, Kurri has beaten the Pumpkin Pickers 39 – 12 at Maitland Sportsground.
It was a perfect start for the Bulldogs, taking less than two minutes to breach Maitland’s line.
The Pickers hit back through Matt Walsh, before play stopped for Kurri’s Kade Hardy to receive treatment for an horrific ankle injury.
When play resumed, Kurri were sharp and relentless, putting the rest of the competition on notice with their finals ambitions.
