It wasn’t a great day in the V8 Development Series for Newcastle’s Aaren Russell who failed to finish race two because of a split oil line.
That meant he started race three from the back of the grid, and he was lucky to avoid further trouble on the first turn.
“Golding was on the grass. He got it wrong again trying to force the issue.”
From there, Russell climbed seven places to finish 14th.
He’s 11th in the overall standings.
