There’s more changes in the works for Newcastle’s CBD, with the Doma Group lodging its latest plan for the city’s west – a five-storey carpark at The Store site.
The build would be part of stage one of the redevelopment, and be the largest carpark in the CBD.
Work to demolish The Store is expected to begin before the end of the month.
Meanwhile, a new link between Hunter Street and Honeysuckle officially opened this morning, at Steel Street.
It’s hoped the pedestrian crossing, stretching over the former rail corridor, will encourage more people to walk into town.
