JUST ONE MORE SIGNATURE NEEDED TO SEE TINGHA SHIFT

It seems the tug-of-war over the town of Tingha is coming to an end.
In a recent survey, 67-percent of residents were FOR the boundary adjustment, which would see Tingha absorbed by Inverell, and now there’s just one more box to tick.
Inverell Shire Council has already submitted its application to the Local Government Minister, and Armidale is now undertaking the same process.
“So we’re going to make a submission to the Minister for Local Government and then it will be up to her to make a decision,” Councillor Simon Murray, Mayor Armidale Regional Council.
