Kyogle Motocross star Dean Ferris is nursing a wrist injury, after crashing during round 5 of the Australian Championships over the weekend.
Medics rushed to his aid seconds after he collided mid air with competition leader Kirk Gibbs, during the final race at Waneroo in Western Australia.
Ferris has now slipped to third in the championship standings, 27 points behind Gibbs.
Racing continues at Nowra this weekend.
