A 28-year-old woman, whose license expired more than two years ago, has been charged, following a police pursuit at Lake Macquarie overnight.
Shortly before 1:30am, police attempted to stop a Subaru Liberty at Glendale, when the car allegedly accelerated away.
A short pursuit was commenced, before being terminated at nearby Boolaroo.
Police later attended a home on Quarry Street at Speers Point, locating the vehicle and arresting a 28-year-old woman.
She was charged with several offences, and granted conditional bail to face court on July 17.
