MALPAS PIPELINE SET TO SEE WATER AND BUSINESS FLOW FOR GUYRA

A new water pipeline from Malpas Dam to Guyra is set benefit local businesses.
The recent state budget saw $12.3-million allocated to the project – effectively drought proofing the town.
Now, one of region’s largest employers, Costa’s Tomato Farm, says a secure water supply could pave the way forward for the business.
“Anything that benefits the Guyra town certainly benefits and supports our ongoing business in Guyra. It also forms the catalyst for conversations about any growth that we may consider into the future.”
The project is now out for public tender.
