Less than a fortnight after a man plunged to his death from a highrise balcony on the Gold Coast, trying to avoid capture, police have been confronted with more life-threatening antics.
They were called to an apartment block in Burleigh Heads this morning, after reports a group of people were allegedly using stolen credit card details to pay for accommodation.
Witnesses claim two men climbed over railings, in a bid to flee.
“There was a guy from the other building yelling out to the police that he was like up a level and they were like searching for ’em.”
The men, and two women, were eventually arrested.
