MAN ACCUSED OF SWANSEA BANK ROBBERY FACES COURT

A man faced Newcastle Local Court today, charged over the attempted robbery of a Swansea bank.
43-year-old Paul Webb is accused of entering the Commonwealth Bank on the Pacific Highway yesterday, threatening a staff member with a knife, before fleeing empty-handed.
He’s been charged with ‘robbery armed with an offensive weapon’, and will reappear in court next week.
