Tamworth’s controversial velodrome is about to go up for sale.
Councillors voted to rezone the block at last night’s meeting.
The site – on the corner of Peel and Roderick Streets – will be zoned as commercial, allowing potential buyers to develop restaurants, office space and residential accommodation.
Expressions of interest are expected to open next month.
Money from the sale of the site will go towards the development of the Northern Inland Centre of Sporting Excellence.
