Three arts and cultural centres on the North Coast are to benefit from almost $100,000 in state government grants.
Nambucca’s Community and Arts Centre will receive around $40,000 to cover the cost of upgrades to its infrastructure, while Wauchope’s Arts Hall will receive $23,000.
The historic Bowraville Theatre will get a much needed boost to its finances with a grant of just over $30,000.
“all up around $100,000, a great investment in arts and culture for this region because we know in regional New South Wales it’s just as important as building schools, hospitals or roads.”
The announcement was made during a short visit by the Deputy Premier to Nambucca Heads this morning.
