Five new drug action teams have been announced for the New England and North West to tackle drug and alcohol use at a grassroots level.
The teams will be based in Inverell, Armidale, Tenterfield, Moree and Narrabri and will work with community organisations and the New South Wales Police force to deliver prevention programs.
Each drug action team has received $10, 000 in federal government funding to develop an action plan unique to each community.
