The Nelson Bay town centre received a spruce-up over the weekend.
Around 80 volunteers and council staff were out scraping, washing and planting.
The business chamber says it’s part of a plan to bring ‘vibrancy’ back to the bay.
The project coincides with Port Stephens Council’s work on extending Yacaaba Street.
