MAN DIES IN MUSWELLBROOK CRASH WHILE BABY ESCAPES INJURY

A 28-year-old man has died in horror two-vehicle crash in Muswellbrook.

Emergency services rushed to the scene around 6pm after two cars collided on Thomas Mitchell Drive.

The man was driving a Hyundai Getz, and died at the scene.

A 20-year-old woman and two children in a Nissan Pulsar, were also involved in the crash.

The driver of the Nissan, was freed by Fire and Rescue NSW and airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition.

A 10-year-old girl, who was in the back seat of the Pulsar, was also flown to hospital with suspected fractures.

Miraculously, a seven-week-old boy escaped injury but was taken to hospital as a precaution.

Police established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
