WOMAN CHARGED FOLLOWING HUNTER DRUG INVESTIGATION

A 44-year-old woman has been charged, after an estimated $12,000 worth of heroin was found in her underwear.

Officers arrested the woman at Wahroonga in Sydney’s North, at around 11 o’clock last night, as part of an ongoing investigation into the supply of prohibited drugs in the Newcastle area.

Police today searched a home on Cardiff Road at Wallsend, seizing a mobile phone, scales, bags, cannabis and cash.

The woman was charged with a string of offences including five counts of supplying a prohibited drug.
