COUNTRY MUSIC SINGER KARL BROADIE LOSES CANCER BATTLE

Nundle based country music singer Karl Broadie has died suddenly overnight- sadly losing his battle with pancreatic cancer.

Over the years his talents were recognised both in Australia and overseas, claiming first place in the Americana category of the International Songwriting Competition in 2006.

A regular performer at the Tamworth Country Music Festival, Karl was also a mentor at songwriting retreats held at Nundle’s DAG Sheep Station.

A number of benefit concerts, initially organised to raise money for Karl’s family during his treatment, will go ahead, including one at Nundle in June.
