CWA VOTES TO SUPPORT FLYING FOX COMMUNITIES

The Country Woman’s Association has passed a motion to protect regional communities affected by flying fox colonies at its state conference in Armidale.

Delegates voted in favour of implementing a flying fox management plan to address the concerns of affected cities and towns.

Water has also been a hot topic at the conference – members calling for compulsory water metering of all users in the Murray-Darling Basin.

The conference wraps up on Friday.
