COUNCIL SAYS TWEED WATER IS ‘SAFE TO DRINK’ DESPITE TASTE CONCERNS

In the Tweed Shire, council is changing the way it treats water after concerns were raised it tasted ‘earthy’ and has an odour.
Council says the water is safe to drink and is most likely a result of the ongoing blue-green algae blooms in the Tweed River and Bray Park Weir.
