Tamworth Regional Council has agreed to spend up to $30,000 a year to tackle illegal dumping.
It’s not for average household waste, but for hazardous dumping including asbestos.
The funds will go towards the collection and correct removal of such waste.
In a situation where offenders can be identified, the costs will slapped on them and they risk being fined.
