The news wasn’t good for Maitland’s Caitlin Wood, who made her debut in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series in Italy.
Wood and team mate Brent Millage started towards the back of the grid and didn’t make it to the final lap.
They fared slightly better in race two on Sunday, finishing 32nd in the 47 vehicle field.
