Traffic was reduced to a crawl along the Pacific Highway at Lake Macquarie this morning, as officers scoured the area for clues after a motorist shot at a police car.
The vehicle, which was attached to a specialist unit, was pursuing a Holden Commodore just after three o’clock this morning, when the driver of the car fired a shot at it.
The pursuit was promptly terminated – thankfully the officer involved wasn’t injured.
