COMMUNITY-RUN SOLAR FARM GETS APPROVED IN MANILLA

The state’s first community-owned solar farm has been given the tick of approval by the Northern Regional Planning Panel.

Construction on the five megawatt energy hub will kick off in Manilla early next year.

It’ll service around 2,000 energy consumers in the area – and is expected to drive prices down significantly.

The Manilla Community Renewable Energy group says the project is all about future-proofing energy resources across the state.
