The torching of a car has been blamed for starting a small bushfire in the Hunter late yesterday afternoon.
Police believe four men set the vehicle on fire after dumping it in bushland off Mulbring Street at Aberdare.
A waterbombing helicopter was eventually used to put out the spreading flames.
No one was injured and no properties were damaged.
Police are now searching for the men, described as wearing bandanas over their faces and baseball caps.
