Gunnedah Mayor Jamie Chaffey has replaced Liverpool Plains Mayor Andrew Hope as the chair of Namoi Unlimited.
He was elected unopposed at a recent board meeting in Walcha, after Councillor Hope resigned from the position due to personal reasons.
Namoi Unlimited is an organisation of local councils working together on regional projects.
The group recently developed a Namoi Roads Network Strategy and has also just returned from a trade mission in China.
