The final stretch of unsealed road along Grain Valley Road is expected to be upgraded in the near future.
Federal Member for Parkes Mark Coulton says the three tiers of government are working together to bring the last 17-kilometres of roadway near Mullaley up to scratch.
“There’s an application now under the heavy vehicles safety and productivity program to the federal government and I know Kevin Anderson is looking through the fixing country roads program and I know that council is committed to putting funds in as well,” Mark Coulton, Member for Parkes.
The road is part of a daily school bus route, as well as a key freight route for trucks.
