Maclean shooter John Matthews has returned home, after claiming gold for Australia at the World Team’s Shooting Championships in Lisbon, Portugal.
Matthews was one of three in the Australian ‘A Team’ to take out top honours.
It’s the third gold medal for the region’s shooters in the past two years.
Trainer John Radford says the achievement confirms the high standard of marksmen from the mid north coast.
