DOG EUTHANASED AFTER ACT OF ANIMAL CRUELTY
Sadly, the RSPCA has had to euthanase a dog, which was found bashed over the head in Cessnock on Monday.
The staffy crossbreed was first sighted by a member of the public on Sunday night, and was located in bushland along Gibson Loop in the National Park on Monday.
The dog had severe head injuries, and despite around-the-clock veterinary care, his condition deteriorated yesterday.
The RSPCA says it was in the best interest of the dog to humanely euthanase him.
It’s still looking for the person responsible and is appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
