HIGH CALIBRE WORKS AT OPEN ART EXHIBITION

Preparations are underway for one of the longest-running art competitions in the Manning Valley.

More than 400 entries from across New South Wales and interstate have begun flooding into Taree High School for the 37th Open Art Exhibition.

And, as in past years, organisers say the high calibre works won’t disappoint.

“There’s more sculptures this year and a bigger open section – something for everybody. All styles, all mediums and very high quality.”

Education curator at Maitland Regional Art Gallery, Anne McLaughlin, will judge the works on Friday, ahead of the official opening later that night.
